Things That Make Me Hate America: #2 in a series

“Evolution is unscientific. In reality, it is a blind faith that’s preached with religious zeal as the gospel truth. I’m embarrassed to admit that I was once a naïve believer in the theory,” said the former television star in a statement. “Atheism has become very popular in universities – where it’s taught that we evolved from animals and that there are no moral absolutes. So we shouldn’t be surprised when there are school shootings.”

That quote is attributed to Kirk Cameron, the douche bag.

Mr. Cameron. You do not, ever, have the right to use the unfortunate events like those that have happened recently in Virginia Tech and years ago at Columbine High School to promote your religion zealot cause. That is in bad taste and morally wrong. Those morals that tell me that what you are saying and spewing is wrong are the ones that I developed as a human being, not from ancient writings. Morals I have in my heart from knowing how I want to be treated, not because a book told me to do so.

I understand that a lot of people probably follow this dickhead, and I doubt that many of them see that at any opportunity he spreads a message of hate towards atheists. Here he blames school shootings on atheism. These kinds of statements should be classified as hate speech. Hate speech from someone who a lot of people listen to.

I know there have to be people that are as angry about this as I am. I wonder how many of them are deists though.
