about me
On graduating in June of 2004 with a degree in Sound Recording Technology, I became a freelance audio engineer. I interned at Brian Keane Music in Monroe, CT and have also worked for local musicians and at the Fairfield Theatre Company as their music front of house/monitor engineer, music archive engineer, lighting guy and all around do whatever needs to get done guy. I trained a bit in voice overs and commercial engineering at Edge Studio and became their specialist in children’s audio books. I began dabbling in podcasting through companies like Sonibyte and my own podcast, Kendo Sticks and Microphones. The freelancing as a full time gig lasted until September of 2007, when I began my career as a podcast producer for a New York City newspaper.
In September of 2004 I began writing for pop culture website InsidePulse.com’s wrestling section. A fair amount of the graphics on the site are created by me as well. I currently cover ECW on SciFi and write the occasional column as well.
I’ve been blogging since before it was a blog. My earliest posts go back to 2000, but you won’t find them on this site any time soon. It was on a diaryland account that since has been closed down and is only accessible through the wonders of the internet wayback machine. I hopped to Live Journal and then to Wordpress.com before opening up robblatt.com.
I’ve got a lovely wife with a blog and Flickr account of her own. She’s pretty! We share the responsibilities of our two dogs Mattingly and Leeloo. They don’t have blogs or Flickr accounts.
