So I saw Superman Returns and my initial thoughts are…

“Superman looks a lot like my half asian college roomate.”

So Amber’s gotta work today (July 4th) from noon till five. I figured that it would be a great time to catch up on the movies that she didn’t want to see. Cars and Superman specifically.

Unfortunately, the theatre’s schedules don’t work out so nice. Is it so hard to get a movie start at 2:00 or 2:30?

So last year in April I went out to California to see if I thought that there were enough job prospects for me to actually leave CT and move to Los Angeles to try to “make it” as an engineer. I opted to stay in CT cause while I might love CA and LA, I don’t want to live there. And above all that, Amber’s here and here’s where I belong.

Anyway, while I was out there I was asked if I wanted to go see the the Houdini House, a legendary house that Houdini had built and has all kinds of crazy pathways and secret entrances and exits. Anything with Houdini is instantly cool. We were told we couldn’t go over in the daytime, but there was a chance that at night that we could sneak in provided that Rick Rubin and the Red Hot Chili Peppers weren’t working a late night.

Over a year later, I’m remembering that it completely slipped our mind and we went to an S&M club with a friend of a friend out there. I didn’t see the Chili Peppers set up to record Dani California, but I did see a woman with red and blue (think American flag red and blue) dreadlocks get spanked with a leather paddle by an Asian woman in a leather corset. Some cage dancer also took an interest in me, but I’m Rob which means I’m completely oblivious to these sorts of things. It was certainly interesting.

No Chili Peppers though.
